BALE OF BLOOD STOCK. [By Thleguapk,] DUNEDIN, September 21. At the parade of entire horses to-day, Mr H. Goodman’s racers, Sir Modred, Somoni, Idalium, and Hilarious were brought on the ground with the object of selling them by auction, in order to dissolve a partnership, and great interest was taken in their disposal. Sir Modred was first put up, and stepping into the ring in the pink of condition, a hid of £6OO was immediately offered. Brisk bidding speedily ran him np to £BOO, and at £Bl2 he fell to the nod of Mr George Fenwick, who was acting on behalf of a principal. Somnns, also looking healthy and well, but showing sign* of haying been blistered, was started at £350, and at £402 was knocked down to Mr George Dowse, who also acted for a principal. Idalium, the handsome black brother to Sir Modred, did not elicit mnoh speculation, and he was speedily knocked down to Mr Mortimer for £66, and the same gentleman purchased Hilarious also for £66.

THE PAST BAOING SEASON. DUNEDIN, September 21. “ Pegasus,” the sporting contributor of the 11 Evening Star,” publishes a review of the past racing season, to-night. Auckland heads the list of provinces in number of meetings and amount of added money, nemely, sixtyfive meetings, and £10,727 j Canterbury is next, with thirty-seven meetings and .£3865 ; Otago held fifty-three meeting, and gave £8710; Wellington, thirty-three meetings, and £8685. The principal winner for the year is the late Mr Walters, of Auckland, with £3228. Messrs Bobinson and Lanoe come next with £2580, The hone whioh won the largest amount was Grip, with £1456. The Slander filly was second, with £1165; Lady Emma and Clarence were next, with £IO2O each. Traduoer heads the list of winning sires, Bavensworth following, Albany third, and Yattendon fourth.
