The report which was current that Ahdellah, commander at Damietta, had been shot by his troops, is now known to have been without foundation. The rebel garrison of Damietta will be forthwith summoned to surrender, otherwise the place will bo bombarded by British ironclads. The Khedive has postponed his departure for Cairo till Monday next. A Commission, consisting of Native and European officers, has been appointed to prosecute those who have been guilty by outrages against Europeans during the rebellion. It has been arranged that British officers shall participate in the courtmartial to be held at Cairo to try the rebel officers.
