Sheffield Coursing Club. —At a meeting of the Sheffield Ooureing Club committee on Wednesday night, held at Mr Flanagau’e Hotel, one of the members made the suggestion that a stake be run for at the first coursing meeting of the club in 1883, to be called the Ladies’ Purse, and offered to contribute £6 5s if the club would add the same amount; the dogs to be nominated by ladies, and the £lO 10a to be expended in the purchase of a piece of plate or jewellery for the nominator of the winning dog j the entrance for the stake to be £1 Is. The idea met with entire approval, and was accepted by the committee. A vote of thanks to Mr White, jeweller, Christchurch, for hi*, offer of a trophy to be run for next season, was passed unanimously,
