Dbx/kkehnesS.—James Sullivan was fined sa, or in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment with hard labour. A charge against Mary Sullivan was withdrawn, the police stating that she had been conveyed to the Hospital on aeoount of a wound in the head whioh she had received while in a stati of intoxication. A first offender, on remand from the 11th inst., on a charge of lunaoy from diink, was further remanded till Monday next, it being understood that arrangements are to be made by his friends to place him at Sunnyside for a ahort period. Civil Cases.—ln the following oaseß judgment was given for the plaint ffs: Angell v Lunnon, £3 14s lid; Corrick v Morgan, £5 4s 6i. Scarlet and Co. v Upriohard, olaim £1 16s fid, goods supplied ; judgment was given for the plaintiff with ooste. Same v Norton, claim £1 16s 6d, gooda aupplied; judgment waa given for the plaintiffs. Feast v Pepperell, claim £2 2s, for aervices'rendered. Plaintiff olaimed this amount for having done his best to aaoertain the name of the man who he understood, and was instructed from defendant, had written anonymous letters to a lady friend of hia. Defendant denied his liability, on the ground that plaintiff had not diacovered the right parly. Judgment was given for the plaintiff.
