The weather kept np decently for ticHunt Olab races to-day, bat the ooarie wee very heavy, and attendance small, and there were one or two showers. The proceedings began with The Tally-ho Handicap Steeflechaex of 70 eovs. Two miles and half. Mr Loan's Canard, 12st 7ib ... (Owner) "J Mr Cfcisholm's Little John, 12et 21b (Cotton) 2 Mr Stephenson's Shillelagh, list 71b (ilcKay) 8 Katsrfelto and three others ran. Canard was favorite and won easily by a length. Time, smin 25 sees. Totalisators, 166 ; sixty eix wers on the wiener. On the outside machine, however, there wai only one investor, and he was on the winner, so that he lost two shillings by the investment. Flat Race of 60 eovs. One mile and a distance. Mr Stephenson's Eugenie, 6st 101 b (Whjbrow) I Mr Goodman's Colin, 7st 21b ... (O'Connor) 2 Idaliam was scratched. Three others started. There was a slashing race between the two named, and Eugenie won by half a length. Time, 2min 16;eci. .there were 257 on the totalisator ; 74 on the winner. Maiden Hdntebs Steeplechase, of 30 sovs. One mile and a half. Mr Bucgerford's Modesty (Mr Hall) 1 Seven others started, Modesty being a strong favorite. She won by only half a length, however, from Dr. Boberts* Novice. Time, 3min 29£sec. Galloway Hubble Handicap, of 15 eove. Absut one mile ; for horses not over 14 hands. Mr Kirby'a Gift, 7&t (Sharp) 1 Seven started, Mr Hazlett's Quiver being the favorite, but she came to griel and Gift won easily. Three out cf the 146 were on the winner in one of the totalisators, bat ssven tickets were presented. It seems the attendants had issued tickets after the perssn registering stopped. It is not known what arrangement will be come to. Hunt Club Cup, for a cup of E 0 eovs. About two miles ; amateur riders. Mr Cbiaholm'a Little John, list lolb (Mr Percy Jones) 1 Mr Christie's Katerfelto, 12st 71b 2 Mr Jones' Gang-away, lOst 21b 3 Eight other* started, Katerfelto and Gsngaway being the principal favorites. There was a very interesting race until the last half mile, when the four were well in it. Little John was in excellent condition, and being ridden with judgment won by three lengths. A dividend of £l6 was paid on the winner.
