Hawera with the applications was £7599 8s lOd, and £625 8s at Patea, making the gross total depo.it of £8224, 16i lOd. There were several sections of Native village settlement land, for whioh there was no applicant. Soveral persons applied for more than one seoiion, in whioh case only one applwation was regarded as in order. DUNEDIN, Septemberß. There have been ten insolvencies thiß week, including John F. Bobertson, of Crookston, farmer, whose debts are set down at £2IOO and assets £3142 ; George Harris, bootmaker, whcse debts are £2730, and aeselß £I4OO The immigration officer here forwarded to Wellington applications under the nominated system for 313 souls, equal to 272 J statute adults.
