Mails close for the following places as under (subject to tbo necessary alterations) TUESDAY, SEPTEMBEB 5. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, at 5.30 p m.; late fee letters, at 5.45 p.m ; guard’s van, 6 50 p.m. ttain. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 7 p m The guard’s van must not be used for this mail WEDNESDAY. SEPTEMBEB 6.
For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed per Orient steamer only), and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.s. Te Anau) at 7 a.m.
For Westport direct, per Southern Cress, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 pm.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Capa of Good Hope, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., &0., per Wanaka, as follows : —Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6.30 p.m.; money orders, at 3 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, S.lO p.m. train. This mail will bs due in London on October 23rd.
