O’Farrell, the assailant of Archbishop Gooldj has been committed for trial, bail being refused. SYDNEY, September 3.
An extensive fire broke out early this morning in Clarence street, on premises occupied by Messrs D. Mitchell and Co., wholesale grocers, causing ibo total destruction of the buildings and stock. The insurance amounts to £18,300, oi which £'.ooo was upon the building and
£14,300 upon the stock, and is divided among various offices. The loss is estimated at fully £20,000.
