Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations) : SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7 p.m. The guard's von mnot not be need for this mail. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER. 4. For Westport direct, per Southern, at 11.30 am.; late fee letters, at 11.40 a m ; guard's van, 12.10 p m. train. TUEaDAY, SEPTEMBER 5. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, at 1.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, as 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Hawea, at 7 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6. For Vnitod Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed per Orient steamer only), and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect with s.s. Te Anau). at 7 a.m.
