ENGLISH & FOKEIGKN. [eBUTEB'H TEEEBEAKS.I LONDON", August 31. The Australian cricketers commenced the return match against the United Eleven of the South of England at Tonbridge to - day. The weather was showery. Much interest was taken in the match. Daring the afternoon the inclemency of the weather increased, and play was suspended. The Australians went first to the wickets, and when the stamps were drawn had scored 131, with three wickets to fall. The highest scorers were Giffen, caught, 40; and Bonnor, caught, 35. The wicket was heavy. September 1. News is to hand from the Ph'-ilpine Islands to the effect that cholera is raging with unabated effect, and is decimating the population of Manilla.
