AU3TEALIANS v ALL ENGLAND. LONDON, August 28.
The cricket match between the Australians and a team representing All England was commenced to-day at Bennington Oval, in the presence of an enormous attendance of spectators, by whom the greatest interest was taken in the match. The weather was fine during the day, but the wicket was somewhat bumpy. The Australians went in first, but failed to make any stand against the splendid bowling and fielding of the Englishmen Murdoch, Blaokham, and Garrett alone reaching double figures. The wickets fell very rapidly, and the innings doted for 63. The Englishmen then went to the wickets, and were all disposed of for 101. Barlow, Ulyett, and Mr A. G. Steel were the only players who succeeded in making double figures. At the close of the innings the stumps were drawn for the day. The following is the full score : AUSTBAIiIANB. First innings.
