At the Education Board, on the motion ol Professor Shand, new regulation* were agreed to relative to the vexed question of consulting school committees in the appointment of teacher*. The following are the principal resolution* “ That it be the duty of the inspectors, after each annual examination of a school, to affix, upon a form prepared for that purpose, to all the certificates of certificated teachers in tho school, which shall be presented to them for that purpose, brief reports on tho quality of the work of the reepeotive teaoheraii ao ahown by the examination.” 1 ’ That certificated teachers in the Board’s service, when applying for other appointments, be required to forward their certificates to the secretary to the Board bearing fas above provided for) the reports of the inspectors, and that such be the sole information respecting them which shall be furnished by the Secretary to school committee*. “That it shall be competent for school committees (if desirous of obtaining from any of the inspector* further specific information regarding candidates) to obtain such information by application to the inspector throngh the Board’s secretary.”
