On the voyage Home, the Sydenham _ fell in with a terrible atorm in 40 8., during which the aaihnakar’a collar bone was broken, and the oarpenter badly cut about the face. Sighting a steamer bound to Monte Video, medical assistance was asked and obtained for the men, _ the surgeon of the a a, Laplace giving hia services. The storm had completely wrecked the cabin, carried away the after boats and skid, and smashed the poop rails and ladders, and broke several of the port bulwark stanchions. The fine ship Lammermoor waa recently wrecked at Bodega Bead, which is situated about forty miles north of the port of San Francisco. This vessel waa one of the finest iron ships afloat; she was built in 187 i, at Glasgow, and waa owned by Williamson, Milligan and Co., of Liverpool. She was 260 feat long. 40 feat beam, 23 feet deep, and was registered at 1626 tens net. She drew 21 feet of water, waa built on a medium model with one bulkhead, and had 40 feet poop. She was registered at Lloyd’s aa A No. 1, and waa valued at j 615,500. She waa sevonty-eight days from Sydney, with 2300 tons of coal, consigned to Williams, Himonl and Co., and waa commanded by Captain J. D. Guthrie. She has been to San Francisco twice —in 1877 and 1879. A vessel of the size of the Lammermoor usually carries a crow of twenty-eight all told, and they were all picked up by a schooner. The Enn Star wont ashore in the same vicinity about a year ago, and tha efforts to save the vessel and •argo were futile. SHIPPING TKLEGEAMS. Wellington, August 16.
