Consols remains at 3 per cent, and the market rate at 2|. The total reserves in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £10,750,000, or £500,000 leas than at this day last week. New Zealand Four and a Half Per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, declined i to IOOf ex div.; Five Per Cent. 10-40 Loan, remains at 107 i; and Five Per Cent. 1889 Loan at 106. Colonial breadatuffs continue dull at last quotations, viz., Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 50s ; New Zealand ditto, 495; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 36s 6d. Australian tallow is firm at 44a for best beef, and 45s 6d for best mutton. Best Scotch pig iron, No. 1, free on board in Clyde, remains at 52s 6d. [“ AGE ” SPECIAL.] LONDON, August 11. The Marquis of Salisbury hotly protested against the Arrears of Rent Ireland Bill, but did not press his opposition to a division.
