fhn Oaitoma duties collected at Ohriatohuroh on Wednesday, August 9th, were os follows Spirits, .£l6l lia 7d; cigars, £x2 3s; wine, £29 15a 2d; beer, £54 16s 6d ; sugar. £l9 15s ; tea, £4l 8s;8d ; goods by weight, £36 18s fid; ad valorem, £4 10a. Total, £361 18s sd. QEAIN AND PRODUCE, Daring the past week business has continued quiet in the grain market, and only a few small porosis of wheat have changed hands at 4s 6d to 4s Bd, according to quality, and place of delivery. The quantity offering is small, and the demand equally so. Flour remains at £ll to £'.l-10s, according to brand. The demand is somewhat fitful, and at times runs on parlicc’ar works. Oats are without any alteration for the better, and although some tempting offers have made for clearing purposes, business has not resulted. For small parcels for town delivery, 2s lid to 3s Id are the current rates. No first brand barley has been offering during the week, but several charing sales of infoiior have taken place at from 2s 9d to Ss 9d, Potatoes are quiet, and a few. small lots have been sold at 35s to 40s. Grass seeds are now enquired for, and saleable at up to 5s fid, according to quality. Dairy produce is unaltered.
