The Turkish difficulty appears abating. The Turkish troops rendezvous at Rhodes, awaiting the completion of a convention with the British, which tho Conference of Powers will endorse.
England and Prance still hesitate to accept Italy's proposal about the Canal. The Lascars at Bombay have resumed working, and spies have been caught in Alexandria.
Complaints are made in the English newspapers as to the French disregard of British protests against French interference at Rinatea.

In the Chamber of Deputies last night M. Duclere, the new Premier, set forth the Ministerial programme with reference to the state of affairs in the East. M. Duclere announced that the Government were resolved to pursue a policy of inactivity and peace, unless further development of the situation should render a chauge of policy necessary.

The Turkish troops for Egypt wait at Rhodes, pending the decision of the Conference on the objection which has been raised to the apparent exercise by the British Government of supreme power and control in Egypt.
