The homeward mails, per Liguria from Melbourne on June 6 th, were delivered here, via Naples, yesterday. August 9.

Walsh, an Irishman, who was arrested in June last in connection with the seizure of arms at Clerkenwell, and who was brought to trial on the charge of high treason, has been found guilty, and sentenced to seven years' penal servitude. The cricket mateh at Canterbury between the Australians and Eleven of Kent was resumed this day, and resulted in a victory for the visitors by seven wickets, they having obtained for three wickets 101 runs required to win the match.
