Dbuhkbnnbbs, —Thirteen offenders were dealt with in the usual manner. Obscene Language.— H. McKegney, M. Burns, and Joshua Gorkin, all boys, pleaded guilty to having used obscene language in a thoroughfare. Oorkin was fined ss. The others were discharged with a caution, Shoplifting.—Annie Berry, Emma Berry, Uaiy Gilbert, and Sarah Bixlaud, girls from twelve to fourteen years old, were charged with stealing six pairs of stockings, the property of Badoliffa and Joughin. Mary Berry, the mother of two of the accused, was charged with receiving the stolen articles. Sergeant Mason stated that the girls were known to have been concerned in many shop robberies. He asked for a remand, which was granted till Friday next. Miscellaneous. —F. Boss, for allowing three cows to wander, was fined 6s.—J. M. Thompson, for allowing a chimney to take fire, was fined 10a.—W. F. Warner, for a similar offence was fined £l.| —Montague Dodd, a cabman, for preventing another cabman obtaining a fare, was fined 10s. —Four publicans, for not keeping lights burning at night before their houses, were each fined 3a and costs.—Sundry persons were fined in small sums for allowing nuisances on their premises.—Wm. Harret, for acting as driver of an omnibus without being licensed, was fined £1. —George Hyde, for not lighting a hoarding, was fined 10s.—James Ander/on, for discharging a gun within the city, was cautioned, and the case was dismissed.— Peter Garraty, for leaving his vehicle unattended, was fined 5s. —S. Neilsen was ordered to pay 7s 61 per week towards the maintenance of his three children at Burnham.—Thomas Fowler, for assaulting Emma Evans, was fined £2, He was ordered to pay £1 11a for a doctor’s bill rendered necessary by his violence, 14s for the expenses of two witnesses, £1 Is solicitor’s fee, end costs of Court.
