DEATH FROM STARVATION.
INQWE3T. [PBHSO AMOOTATIOV TELBaBAM.] INVEBOA.RGHLL, August I. At the inquest on the body of the man MoWatt, the evidence showed that deceased bad refused offers of food from a near neighbor. The Coroner said he appeared to have been of a proud, sensitive, and nervous disposition, shrinking from the exposure cf poverty, and preferring to die rather than make his necessities known. Suoh obbbs, although rare, were not altogether unknown. The ease was a singular and extraordinary one, for oertainly no man or woman in the colony need die of want in the midifc of a populous district. The jury found "That Archibald Mo Watt died of syncope, or fainting, brought on by want of nourishment." A rider was appended expressing the jury's regret that the deceased man did not male his destitute condition known to his neighbors, a course that wonld have insured immediate suocour.
