Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations): TUESDAY, AUGUST 1. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Eingarooma, at 3.20 p m.; late fee letters at 3.3 J p m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Penguin, at 320 p.m. ; late fee letters at 3.30 p.m,; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only). Point de Galle, India, < hina, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports and Australian Colonies, Ac., par express (to connect with s.s. Bingrooma), at 7 a.m. Noth. —After 29th inst.,mails for Ataroa by Pigeon Bay will close at Tam. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and by Birdlings’ Flat at 8 a m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Mails for Leßon’s Bay, Okain’s Bay and Little Akaloa, will close at 7 am, each Monday and Friday.
