Captain McDonald, in a letter to the "Otago Daily Times,” says:- “ The wreckers where they found doors locked burst them open, wrenched the look of the IflE&rettd hatch, broke the sideboard to get at my stores, and to get into my own room they broke in a side door and took everything portaide ont of it. and actually unscrewed my barometer out of the skylight.” A grand bre.za from the southward was blowing all yesterday, and brought up to port a mowcap for the hills on the south side of toe harbor, as most winds from that quarter usually do about this time of the year, bnt those who expected the arrival of several ships from foreign ports with yesterday’s sou'-wester were disappointed. , , The Union Company’s s.s.
