Scrimmage after scrimmage took place, the Yellows forcing their opponents grzduMly back. The ball sow came out, and Kesteven by a short nm obtained a try- The shot at goal was a failure. Lee set the ball in play again, but aeon after Kest-iven by a long run round obtained another try, and again no goal resulted. Time wm called. For the first spell Pringle
kicked off. The Yellows followed up well v together, and kept things pretty merry for themselves. A scrimmage on the Blues’ lice resulted in their forcing down. Nothing of muoh note occurred in this spell. Lee sent the ball in play again for the thud spell. Both aides now went in with a will, Ha«t,

Tho Blue* as nentu quickened their stroke for the last, and took the tho ball down for the first time in tho Yellows ground,which was kept there for a few minutes, the lookers-on calling in frantic shouts “ College,” “ College." However, this seemed to enliven the Yellows, for they worked the ball back to centre ground, and by two good kicks from Roberts the Blues were forced down twice. Time wag now called, the 8.0. F 0. winning a most plaosant match b» three trice to nil, which makes tho fifth victory for them in succession. For the College H. H. Leo, Mathias, Palmer, Hall, and Williams worked hard behind the scrimmages, and Hutton, Haast, Fisher, Lowry as forwards for East Christchurch. Fuller, Kasteven, Mountfort, T. Smith and Bobcrts played in rare form, while the forwards played hard to a man, but wo must single out B, Wilson who was never off the ball, E. (SECOND FIFTEEN) Y. HIGH SCHOOL. This match was played on the former ground, and resulted in a victory for the former by one goal and two tries to one try. F. Hobbs obtained two, and B» Mountfort one, which bo converted into a goal, while Bruce secured the try for his school. B. McWilliams, Lough, Muter, and Hill, showed well as forwards for tho Yellows, and B. Mountfort, Wolcdge, and Hinge, as backs. 8, Bruce, Taisroa, Holmes, and Watson, played hard for the mauve and black. NORTH OANTBBBDEY r. EAYENB. A match between the North Canterbury and Savons Club* was played at Eangiora on Saturday afternoon, which resulted in favor of the former club by one goal and three tries.
