The last course, being the ■ first in the Saplings, Was run oft on Mr 1 Holmes' land. A lot of ground was traversed, 1 and with but moderate success, twelve courses only being got through, Mr Dan O'Brien officiated as judge and Mr Spooner as slipper, and both did their work very well. A start will be made from the Talbot Hotel this morning at eight o'clock. Colleen Bawn and Wellington were then placed in the slips, and were sent away in tho rain, Wellington running unsighted for some time; but getting on terms a fairish course ensued, the hare being hard pressed escaped into a rabbit-hole. Verdict for Collaen Bawn. Nanoy Lee and Busy Boy tken tried conclusions, whioh resulted in an easy win for Nancy. Nellie led Bilgal and scored several points, the hare making for a stubble paddock; the letter get in, killed, andgjust won. A short and merry spin then took place on the plough between Sprint; and Blue Devil. All Aged Slakes.—Sir Boger at once took command, and began piling np a big score, but turning tho bitch got in and was fast rubbing out his scare when she killed. This was a very pretty course. Bridegroom wu overmatohed for Tiipo and won. Security led Wanaka, seoured two wrenches, when the hare escaped and left her a winner. Loughshielan Witch had the- foot of Mata in a short time and won.

Sapliag.—After a long tramp a hare was raieod for Wainui and Bounce, the latter running unsighted at first, but getting in a very unsatisfactory oourae was won by Wainui. This finished the day's ooursicg.
