Several boys pleaded ignorance, bat one at last replied, •It Is what a hen lays on.’ The answer puzzled the Bishop not a little, bat the boy persisted in it, stating that be read it In his little book, and on doing so he pointed trinmShantly to a paragraph commencing—‘The omeatio ban laye on an average fifty eggs each year.'
