THE OAMARU MURDER CASE.
I PBSSB ASSOCIATION TILBGBAH.] OAMABTJ, July 18. In the case of Alexander Beattie, who was charged at the Magistrate's Court for the murder of Sarah Adams at Papakaio, on or abonfc the 10th of June, the evidence adduced so far u the very same aa given at the inquest last week. Sergeant - Major Thompson, in opening the ease, said he would produce evidence that the woman was alive on the 10th of June when Beattie went home, and said that the theory was that the prisoner had murdered her that night, and that he buried her on the following night, when he left the hotel, where they had a bed. The case is likely to last two or three dajs.
