The German war ship Carola, now at Auokland, is an iron vessel of 2100 toaa displacement, with oompound engines of 2100 horae power, and ia capable of Bteaminsr 14 knots. She carries on the main deck 10 Krnpp gups, firing 701 b Bhells, and four Hotohkiss revolving guna, wbioh resemble the bettor-known Gsthngs. Her complemeni of officers and men is 242. She is a new vessel, recently built at Stettin, and her present commission for tho Australian and South Saa station is her first serti-'e. SHIPPING TBLEGEAMS. Auckland, July 14.
