reeuteb’s telegrams.! MELBOURNE, July 11. It has been ascertained that John Matheson died of apoplexy, and not epilepsy, as at first stated. The men arrested on a charge of burglary at the shop of Avinski, in Lonsdale street, include a licensed victualler. Private advices report that the English hop crop is expected to be 50 per cent, below the average. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriters’ Association have received a telegram from London, stating that the insurance companies require an additional £ per cent, only on vessels passing through the Suez Canah
