TELE EXHIBITION. The attendance at the Exhibition building yesterday was in every sense of the word a satisfactory one, tho large gathering of children attracted by the novelty of the doll show being very noticeable, the attractiveness of which also drew a large crowd of interested visitors of older growth. The magnificently dressed collection of dolls shown by Miss Verrall wos most favorably commented on, as also was a beautiful doll which had been overlooked till last evening, which was the silent representative of Maritsna. This was sent by Mias E. Hawker, and was considered worthy of a special prize. The vast fund of interest and amusement thus afforded to the children was added to by the display of a collection of mechanical toys, such aa a horseman fully mounted arid equipped, an Arab on a camel, a little lady in a carriage and pair, &c., which, being wound up, were placed on the floor of the art gallery, and created considerable fun by their eccentric gyrations. The following is the list of prizes awarded to tho various ladies who entered dolls for competition : 1. National costumes—lst, Miss Wolf and Miss Houeh. Juncker’s popular concerts was given in the Concert Hall at light o’clock. Mr E. E. Wright contributed two of the numbers, viz., Balfo’s serenade, “Good Wight, Good Wight, Beloved,” and the ballad from Tito Matte?, * Ho, ho 1 Hear the Wild Winds Blow.” Miss Kitchen also gang two songs with good taste, although her voios falls into indiotinctness at the gallery end of tho room. Miss Grant sang the gongs allotted to her with much expression, and Mr Rowley, jun., was fairly successful in a flute eolo from “La Sonnambnlo,” although he failed to adequately interpret Herr Formes’ song “ King Christmas.” Mr Juncker gave a pianoforte folo, Grand! Polonaise in A fist, No. 8, by Chopin. Tha beat item of tho evening was the ballad “ The Pilgrim of Love,” in which Mr Farrant was deservedly applauded. The quartette, from “La Petite Mademoiselle," “We are Three Doctors of Renown,” by Messrs Farrant, Dougall, Johnton and Wright, was well rendered and favorably received. This day (Saturday) is tho closing day of the Doll Show, and in the evening a Great Shadow Pantomime is announced, in which shadows of every degree and many moods are promised.
