The Clovernmont'fl offer to Mr Lucas was £'5076. Tho plaintiff was to pay all costs in the suit. ADELAIDE, July 6. In the Legislative Assembly last night a debate took placo on tho proposed defences of the colony. The> House was iavourable to their completion,aud passed a resolution authorising the Government to telegraph to England for a gunboat.
