[bbttter's telegeams.l SIDNEY, July 1. » Arrived, last evening Pacific mail ste&mship Australia, from Auckland. The New South Wales nvenne returns for the June quarter has been published. The total receipts for the period named were £1,907,000, being an increase of £217,000 compared with the June quarter of last year. The customs show an increase of £45,967, of which spirits contribute £20,571. The taxation shews au increase of £56,518. Tha return also show the following decreases in the revenue : —From sngar, £3345; from beer, £1328.
MELBOURNE, July I.
The Victorian revenue for the past quarter amounted to £1,381,000, being au increase of £46,000 as compared with the June quarter of last year. The revenue for the year 1881-82 amounted to £5,588,000, being an increase of £374,000 as compared with the previous year. The following increases are shown by the returns dnring the year :—Customs, £221,000; excise, £88,000; railways, £137,000; stamps, £16,000. The territorial revenue showß a decreases of £IO,OOO aa compared with those of 1881. ADELAIDE, July 1. The South Australian revenue for the Juno quarter amounts to £517,000, being an increase of £17,000 as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The revenue for the year ending 30th Juno amounted to £2,242,000, being an increase of £230,000, as compared with 1880-81. The Customs receipts during the year were increased by £85,000, and the land sales by £82,000-
