LATE CABLE NEWS.
LBy Tslkqbaph.J [Per s.a. Te Anau at the Bluff.] LONDON, June 15. The inadequacy of transport facilities for quitting Egypt is severely felt, and the hostile action of the Native population of Alexandria has also retarded the departure of European residents. Those unable to effect their escape have barricaded tbeir houses, and taken all precautions in their power against attack. Telegraphic communication with Cairo has bean cloud, the E-gliah have left the city. The number of lives lost during the late outbreak is greater than was first reported. It is now estimated that 250 Europeans were killed. Corpses are being washed ashore daily. The agitation among the native population of Egypt is extending into the interior.
A Fenian workman named Walsh has been arrested in connection with the seizure of arms and ammunition at Oletkenwell intended for shipment to Ireland. An additional dis oovery and a seizure was made of arme and ammunition concealed in Walsh’s lodgings.
