The proceedings of the Conference of Foreign Ambaaaadora on the Egyptian question, which is now sitting hero daily, arekoptquite secret, nothing being allowed to transpire. LONDON, June 24. Great activity now prevails in the English arsenals and dockyards, owing to the naval and military preparations necessitated by the state of affairs in Egypt. It has transpired that the military authorities have arranged that a force of British troops, now at Malta, shall at once embark for Egypt, for the purpose of protecting the Suez Canal. A number of reports as to an alleged Fenian rising in Ireland are to hand. It is feared that an attack on the London “ Times ” office is contemplated, and the premises are consequently guarded by a body of police. Intelligence has been received from Ireland that a body of several hundred Fenians, in military order, has marched through Armagh. Nothing further, however, as to their movements has transpired. There are no changes to report in the money market, or in colonial breadstnffs. Australian beef tallow has advanced to 42s 6d, and best beef has declined to 43s 6d. W 001—9200 bales were offered at to-day’s auction. The market was steady, but the demand was not active.
