THE EXHIBITION.

There wag a very good attendance at the Exhibition yesterday, both afternoon and evening. The Austrian Bind, under Herr Kahout, played some very nice selections of music. There was a skating go-as-you-please contest in tho concert hall in the evening, when some very good skating was exhibited. Tho arrangements for tho citizens' ball in coanection with the visit of the member* of both Houses are now complete, and the ball has been fixed to take place on July 3rd in the art gallery. The tickets have been fixed at a price enabling everyone to be present, and a large attendance is anticipated. The following is the programme arranged at present for the Parliamentary visit:—The memhers will arrive in Lyttelton at noon on Saturday, July Ist, and proceed by special train to Addington, and thence to the Exhibition by tram. At 130 p.m. a luncheon will take place in the Exhibition, and in the evening at aeven o'clock there will be a special appearance of Blondin and fireworks, followed at eight by a combination concert, when a very varied programme of music will be rendered. On Monday the members will meet at II a.m. at the Kaiapoi Woollen Company’s warehouse, Cashel street, and after inspecting the premiers they will leave at noon for a visit to (no factory at Kaiapoi, where they will be entertained at lunch by the company. In tin evening at nine o’clock they will attend tbs citizens’ bail iu the Art Gallery. On Tuesday at 11 am. the official visit to the Exhibition will he paid, which it is expected will occupy the day. In the evening tho visitors will be present at the children’s fancy dress ball, and at 11.4 S p.m. they will leave by special train from Addington for Lyttelton, on their return to Wellington. In addition to the programme given above it is more than probable that arrangements will he made for a visit to the Hospital and Snnnyside Asylum. On Saturday there will be the dog show ana Blondin will go through his clever performances during the day and in the evening.
