Wheat is somewhat easier, and holders are not so difficult to trade with, which induces the belief that the highest point season is passed. The unusually high prices cabled from .Sydney as the value of Now Zealand wheat there are proved by advices to hand per Wakatipu to be utterly without foundation, and that in fact the value of New Zealand wheat in that market ranges from 5a to 6s 6d, and not 6s 9d, as quoted by Renter's. New South Wales ■whsat appears in one or two instances to have rea’ised 6s 9 i, but to those conversant with relative values in Sydney, this is nothing unusual, as it is well known that New Zealand wheat looked up.u with anything bat favor by the Sydney miller- 1 . Flour continues in steady trade request at £ll 10s for town brands, and £ll for country. Oats move off in small parcels at 3s to 3s 2'l, but there does not appear to bo any improvement in demand, values in Australia not being sufficiently high to induce shipments from here Barley is unaltered at up to 4s 6d for good malting, and from 3a to 4a for inferior to medium, Keans are offering, but there does not appear to be any buyers at present prices. Consequent on the decline in Australian markets, potatoes have cased somewhat, but as very few have been offering, and those held for late rates, no business has resulted.
