CHRISTCHURCH WEST. To-day, at noon, the adjourned annual meeting was held in Bt. Michael’s schoolroom. Present—Messrs B. J. S. Harman (chairman), E. Westenra, and P. Cunning, bam. Sergeant Pratt was present in the police interest. RENEWAL. P. Oonelly, White Swan, Tnam street (Mr Loughrey. This case had been deferred for formal production of newspaper noticts. License granted. NUMBER OF BARB. In no case was application made for more than tas bar. HOURS OP CLOSING The following applications for extension of the hours of closing were submitted: John Baylee, Eoyal Hotel, Oxford Terrace, applied personally; Mr Mande applied for J. G. Clark, White Horse, Montreal street; Mr Loughrey forP. Conell.t, White Swan, Tnam street; B. P. Hill, British Hotel, Oxford terrace ; Chao. Deal; Rotherfield Hotel, Cashel street ; and J. F. MeKondriok, Zetland Arms, Cashel street; Mr Thomas, for W. H. Porter, the Shades, Hereford street. After a few minutes’ adjournment, the decision was announced, namely, to grant extensions to midnight to the Boyal Hotel, the Zetland Arms, and the Shades.
