OHBISTOHUEOH. Monday, June 19. [Before J. Ollivier, E.M., and E, Westenra. J. P.]

DRUNKENNESS. —William Warner was fined £l, or in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. H. O. Lavender and Franois O'Neill wore eaoh fined 10s, or in default to be imprisoned for twenty-four hours. Annie Wharton, for ÜBing obscene language, was fined £5, or in default to bo imprisoned for fifteen days. John Bobinson, who had been undergoing medical treatment for lunaoy from drink, was ordered to pay 9< for his maintenance while in gaol, and discharged. Indecent Assault.—John Young, charged with an offence of this rjature, was committed for trial at the next sessions of the Supreme Court at Ohristohuroh. Assault. —Peter Eattigan was charged with assaulting E, jGeorge. Mr MoConnel appeared for proseoutor. Mr Gresson for the accused. The oase was dismissed.

Esqs , J.P.V Dbuhk and Disobdebly.—A siilor belonging to the Fawn, brig, was finei 4>oj, or (even days' imprisonment, for being drunk, disorderly, and for using bad ianguige in a public plaoo on Saturday night. OBBIBtrCTING THE POIIOK.—A mit3 of the former prisoner, named Whitfield, was proved to have obstructed the police, and was fined 20s, or seven days' imprisonment.

Obscene Language.—H. Hill was oharged with usisg obscene language on Norwich Quay at about 5 p.m. on Sunday. P. Oain and Constable MoOlolland gave evidenoe. Two of the prisoner's mates belonging to the ship Ettrickdale gave evidence for the defence. It was the evidence of two against two, and the Bench gave the accused, the benefit of the doubt. Thbbatbning his Captain.—Frederick Ooyle was charged with using threatening and abusive language to the master of thfl barque Firth of Forth, Captain Cooper, on Friday last. Captain T. MoOlatchie gave evidenoe,, after hearing which the Bench administered a oaution and let the prisoner go. Laecbnt bi Giem.—Elizabeth King and Annie Oroton were oharged with stealing a pair of boots, 30s in coin, and a pocket book, the property of Edwin Williams. The girls, for suoh they were, admitted the laroeny. They were on board the barque Malay, and stole the articles named out of one of the berths. Constable Allon gave evidenoe. The prisoner King had spent the 30s in various shops in town, and he found the boots at the home of the girl Oroton, whither she pdmitted having taken them. Croton's age was fourteen, and King's between fifteen and sixteen. The Benoh ser*. tenced the girl King to seven day's imprisonment at Additigton and Croton to a like term, the laßt-named to be afterwards committed to Burnham Industrial School until she reaohed tho age of fifteen.
