In the Assembly this evening Sir Bryan O’Loghlen said that the Government had resolved to treat the motion introduced by Mr Francis that the proposed remission of taxation was inconvenient and undesirable, as one of want of confidence. The Premier further stated that the Government had resolved to modify the proposals for the remission of taxation set forth in the Budget speech before Mr Francis’ motion was tabled. The House has adjourned till Tuesday next.
