Sir, —According to your instructions we have male a practical test and thorough examination of the following Sewing Machines, viz., the Wheeler and Wilson, Jones and Co., Wertheim, and the Davis, and the results of our experiments are Bet forth in the tabulated statement attached. We find that the Wertheim and Jones all of the Binger type and similar in construction, and should be olassed in the same order. The Wheeler and Wilson differs in construction, but the results of our experiments are similar to the former named. As regards the DAVIS, we oannot but agree with the jury that it is very buperior to any of the others, and went through every test to onr entire satisfaction.
