Sir, —According to year instructions we have made a practical test and thorough examination of the following Sewing Machines, viz , the Wheeler and Wilson, Jones and Co., Wertheiro, and the Davis, and the results of onr experiments are set forth in the tabulated statement attached. Wo find that the Werthelm and Jones all of the Singer type and similar In constrnotlon, and should be classed in the same order. The Wheeler and Wilson differs In construction, bnt the resnlta of onr experiments are similar to the former named. As regards the DAVIS, wo cannot but agree with the jury that It is very superior to any of the others, and went through every test to ear entire satisfaction.
