[eeutee’q telegeams.l SYDNEY, June 1. The New South Wales Government has dismissed Captain R. R. Armstrong late R.N., from his position as resident at Lord Howe’s Islands, for selling liquor to the Natives without a license. HOBART, June 1. Elections to the Legislative Assembly have resulted in the return of twentythree Ministerialists, and eight Opposition members, and one doubtful. ADELAIDE, June 1. The South Australian Parliament was opened by his Excellency the Governor, who, in a speech on the occasion, announced that a Bill would shortly be introduced to authorise the remitting of onethird of the year’s interest due by selectors, owing to failure of wheat crop daring the past season. Nothing further of importance was mentioned in the speech.
