The cricket match, Australians v Cambridge, has resulted in a victory for the latter by six wickets. CONSTANTINOPLE, May 31. It has transpired that Lord DnlTerin, English Ambassador, and Marquis do Noaillea, French Ambassador, have re. quested the Sultan to make a declaration in favor of Tewfik Pasha remaining on the Egyptian throne.

Arrived—This morning, the Union Co.’s new steamship Manipouri, from . Glasgow. In the Assembly last night a debate took place on the motion of Mr Patterson, calling attention to the address of the Irish people, signed by certain members of the House, which had been made public. Sir Bryan O’Loughlin announced that the Government did not intend to take any action in the matter. The signatories to the address expressed their loyalty to ♦he Queen, but upheld an agitation for Home Rule for Ireland. Sir Bryan
