FATAL SHOOTING CASE IN OTAGO.
ROXBURGH, May 29,
A man named John Kitto, of Miller's Flat, went to the residence of his son-in-law, Jos9ph Augustus Roggiero, about 7 o'clock last night, and without any warning, shot through the window with a rifle at Boggiero, who wag sitting by the fire. The screams of Roggiero'a wife attracted her brother-in-law, who had to pass Kitto's house. Kitto shot him also, the ball entering the wrist and coming out at the elbow. Boggiero died a short time afterwards. Kitto, who was in the Lunatic Asylum some time ago, came to Roxburgh, and gave himself up to the police. The brother-in-law who was shot through the arm, was Darned Pater, Klogh. He was a son-in-law of Kitto. Latbb, Kitto, who is now in the lockup at Roxburgh, is evidently Buffering from religious mania. When told his son-in-law was dead, he replied—" Praise be to God." It is just reported that unfavorable symptoms are ' showing in the wounded man Klogh.
