CAIRO, May 28. The gravity of the political situation continues to increase, and great alarm prevails on account of the state of anarchy which now exists. The Khedive, yielding to prayers of the Notables and the threat of the military, has now consented to the reinstatement of Arabi Pasha as Minister of War. CONSTANTINOPLE, May 29. Preparations are being made for despatching an Imperial Commission to Egypt with the view of effecting a settlement of the present crisis. It is believed that the object of the Porte in intervening is to secretly support the military party in Egypt as against the Khedive.
