ASSAULT —lsaao and Elizabeth Burt were oharged with having aonaulted John Wilson at Biugeland on May 21st, and sureties to keep the peace were sought from them. Mr Slater appeared for the plaintiff, Mr Button for defendants. From the evidenoo it seemed that there had been blows exchanged between the parties, who ware neighbors. The oause was a dispute as to a dividing fence. The case was dismissed. Civil. Casbs. —Dalamain v Fox, jun., claim £9 7s. Mr Harper for plaintiff, Mr Loughroy for defendant, who had hired a buggy from plaintiff on Christmas Day last. Hi? went to Bumner and met with an accident on the way baofc. The buggy was capsized, and had coßt too amount claimed to repair. Defendant admitted that the damage had been done, but alleged that tho accident was oaused by the unmanageable nature of the horse and rotten harnees. Judgment was for plaintiff, with costs ol Court and solicitor's fee. Atkinson, jun., v Williams, claim £1 for money lent. Plsintiff non-suited, with costs. Wilson v Joblin, £l3 claim for rent.
