SHEFFIELD COURSING CLUB.

The second meeting of the Sheffield Coursing Club took p!aoa at Mr Mathias’ eitate. Racecourse Hill, which that gentleman kindly placed at the club’s disposal. The weather was beautiful and the attendance very good and haroa plentiful and strong. The beating was perfection, and the officials worked hard to make the meeting a success The majority of the courses were severely contested and well calculated to test the stamina of the different dogs engaged. The following are the results:— ALL AGED STAKES. First round. Mr Campbell's Bessie Belie beat Mr Cassidy’s Pluto Mr Cookson’s Clanchristie boat Mr Lawrence’s Vagabond Mr W. Camion's Spanker beat Mr Pearson’s Spio. Second round. Bessie Belle beat Olanchristio Spanker ran a bye. Third round. Bessie Belle boat Spanker and won the stake. MALVSEN PURSE. Pint round. Mr R. Willis’ Eva beat Mr J. E. Jebson’s Sheffield Mr Flanagan’s Carlton beat Mr Clinton’s Spanker Mr Campbell’s Snowball boat Mr Brown’s Spring Mr J. R Willis’ Tibby Puller beat Mr S. Plaskett’s Nellie Mr fl. Willis’ Patrician beat Mr Scott’s Clna Mr H. Willis’ Callao beat C. E. Levien's Justinian Mr Bull’s Sir Roger beat Mr Jebson’s Wee Lass Mr Pearson’s Earbelle boat Mr Hislop’s Hartley. Second round. Eva beat Carlton Tibby Fuller beat Snowball Patrician beat Sir Roger Barbelle beat Callao. Third round. Eva drawn lame Tibby Fuller a bye. The final courses will be un off early to* morrow.
