This exhibition, which owes its boing recalled into being mfiinly on account of the International Exhibition, was devoted to the s'lowing of fat cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, dairy produce, grain seed and roots. The extra exhibits oomprised hunters, ponies, and cavalry chargers. Tn addition to the association prizes several private prizes wore given, viz., Mr E. Sutherland gave books valued at two guineas for the best fat bullock of any age on the ground, which was awardod to Mr S. Garforth's bullock, to whom also it is no< dless to add tho first piize in that class was awarded. The other bullock shown by that gentleman was also very highly oommended, the second priza boing awarded to Mr John Ferguson's exhibit. In the class for steors under two years tho first prize was also taken by Mr Forguson, the second being given to Mr 8. Garforth's steer. The class for 8 eers under three years of age brought five entries, the first and second prizes going to Mr Garforth; the animals shown by Messrs Henderson and Mcßeatb, and one of those exhibiled by Mr J. Ferguson, being highly commanded and commended respectively. For steers under four years old three competed, that shown by Mr 8. Garforth taking first honors, whilst Mr John Ferguson's steer was given a second, tho exhibit of Messrs Hopkins and Go. being commended. The prizes for h;ifers under two years old were a iirot and second, both being taken by Mr John Ferguson, ho also taking a first for the best heifor under three years old, Mr S. Garforth following with a second and commended. Cow or heifer under four years brought sir entries, Mr S. Garforth being tho fir3fc priza-takor, Hopkins and Co. adjudged whilst those shown by Mr John Farguscn were very highly commended. Mr°Garfjrth was also to the fore with a cow of any age, Mr Ferguson's beasts beicg second prizo-tnkor and commonded. The heifera shown by Messrs Henderson and Mcß3th, although taking 2nd prize, were very good, having boon driven forty miles to tho ahotr, from the effeots of which thoy had hardly recovered. The fit sheep shown by Messrs Henderson and Mcßeth were all in splendid condition. The judgirg was not complotod in all classes at the time of our going to press. The attendance up to two o'clock was scarcely satisfactory, tiiking the fineness of the day and the excellence of the exhibits into consideration.
