Malta close at the Chief Poet Office for lit following places (subject to the necessary altera. Bona) as under TUESDAY, MAT 23. For Northern Porte, per Wanaka, at 1.43 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.rn.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 8 p m. THURSDAY, MAT 25. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Enropa via Brindisi (specially addressed letters only). Point de Gallo, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, the Mediterranean Forts, Australian Colonies, &c., per express (to connect with s.s. Albion), at 7 o.m. For Otago, per Penguin, at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, at 11.40 a.m ; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Wakatipn and Te Anau, at 1.45 p m.; late fee letters at 2 p.m ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train.
Noth.— Wednesday next being a Post Office holiday, all branches of the department will be closed. Mails usually closing on Wednesday will be closed on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. The office will he open between 9 and 10 p.m. on Tuesday evening, to deliver letters usually taken oat by letter-carriers.
