The market continue firm, with business, however, rather dolU Wheat. —Good, sound milling samples are worth from 4s 9d to 4s lid per bushel, f o b.; second quality wheat, 4s 3d to 4s 6d per bushel; chick-wheat, 3a 6d to 3a 9d .er bushel ; seed wheat, 5s to 5s 31 per bushel. Oats.—Good stout milling samples are worth from 3a 2d to 3s 4d per bushel; feed quality, 2d per bushel less. -Barley. The market dull. _ A slightly better feeling has been visible during the past week, but values are unaltered. Prime malting samples may be quoted at from 4s 6d to 4s 7d per bushel; second-class quality, 3s 6d to -4b 3d per bushel. Beans are worth from 4s Id to 4s 2d, delivered in Christchurch.

Potatoes.—Business during the week has been transacted at from 33s to 36s per ton at country stations within ten miles of Christchurch, sacks ■extra. Gross seed is almost entirely neglected. Cheese and butter.—The former is worth 5d per lb; the latter, lOd per lb.
