Mails close at she Chief Peso Office for the cllawsag place* (subject to the necessary alteradone) r.a under TUESDAY, MAY 23. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 12.30 pm.; late fee letters, at 12.45 p.m. ; guard’s van, 1.25 p m. train. For Northern Porta, per Wanaka, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe via Brindisi (specially addressed lettere only), Point de Galle, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports. Australian Colonies, &c., (to connect with s.s. Albion), at 8 p.m. Note.—Wednesday next being a Post Office holiday, all branches of the department will bo closed. Mails usually closing on Wednesday a ill be closed on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. i ho office will be open between 9 and 10 p m. on Tuesday evening, to deliver letters usually raken ont by letter-carriers.
