Tho Customs duties colleoled at Christchurch on Thursday, May IBth, were as follows : —Spirits, £2OO 15a Id ; tobacco. £69 16s 6d; cigars, .£24 2a 8d; wine, £l2 6s; sugar, £4 15s 4d ; tea, 12 4s; poods by weight, £6B £s 5d ; ad valorem, £353 3s; other duties, £2O 11s 6d. Total, £065 Os 6d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Thursday, May 18th, sales were made as follows Ordinary : Ashley, 7a 2r 23p j Selwyn, 142 a ; Akaroa, 436 a 2r 22p'; Geraldine, la lr 2p; Wairaale, 9<>9a 2r 30p. Total acreage sold, 1437 aOr 37p. Total cash received, £2994 9s 3d. Refunds on Account of former purchases were made in the amount of £9511s 9d.
